It's been under consideration for well over a year so it doesn't give one too much hope. I wouldn't even care if the interface was clunky, but would be better for the device to pull the direct stream off the internet than going through the reduced quality Chromecast button. It’s already under consideration on the Ultra roadmap.

From what I see on their website, the quality of Nugs streams are lossy MP3/AAC which Chromecast will deliver with no further loss in quality since it can deliver streams up to 24/192 losslessly. These are the types of listeners that are casual just to get by on their time where quality don’t matter. You and I seek for breathtaking realism that would put joy on our ear and soul. From what I see on their website, the quality of Nugs streams are lossy MP3/AAC which Chromecast will deliver with no further loss in quality since it can deliver streams up to 24/192 losslessly. Chromecast Nugs doesn't work with Android phone on my Ultra, at least I haven't gotten it to work yet.

On iOS you maybe paying premium and lock eco system but for the most part their devices works as advertised because they controlled their own platform as opposed of open source android. I’m also hardcore gamer where there’s only 2 brand to choose from between amd and nvidia. Amd is open source whereas nvidia is lock eco system. In my experience lock eco system tend to provide quality at the expense of higher cost.I just downloaded the Nugs app on iOS, don’t have an account just a free one and I can use Chromecast from even that, so I’m surprised you can’t do that on android.
I did set it up, and it gets connected and ready to go on the Ultra, but the Nugs website won't play for some reason. It's very odd. When you set up your ultra , did you set up Chromecast and if so, do you see it in your google home app?
I just downloaded Nugs.net on my Android phone, and again I can see my Ultra as a Chromecast target when I choose the rectangular casting icon - see the screenshot below. What does your now playing screen in the Nugs.net app look like?

Serious music lover would not listen to lossy music services other than casual listener to get by.Yeah, Nugs via Chromecast definitely not working for me. But loving the other uses though! Spotify (very high bitrate), HDMI-ARC, and phono all work flawlessly and sound fantastic!!
