Please add Nugs to Music Services, like Spotify.

It's such a unique app, only one of It's kind streaming live shows and recorded live performances. It would be a tremendous gamechanger. Current bluetooth solution sounds horrible and is counter to the whole reason I bought my Ultra!

It’s already under consideration on the Ultra roadmap.

I am aware of that, but like all software iteration development, timelines change as priorities shift. I would like to see this prioritized as I am a heavy user of Nugs and know of many other fans that would enjoy this feature too! I've become an instant major fan of WiiM for my phonograph and very high bitrate setting of my Spotify. Both sound amazing and the ease of use is unmatched!! Bravo, thanks, and keep up the amazing work!!!

It's been under consideration for well over a year so it doesn't give one too much hope. I wouldn't even care if the interface was clunky, but would be better for the device to pull the direct stream off the internet than going through the reduced quality Chromecast button.

From what I see on their website, the quality of Nugs streams are lossy MP3/AAC which Chromecast will deliver with no further loss in quality since it can deliver streams up to 24/192 losslessly. Even Bluetooth/Airplay could accommodate Nugs streams adequately,

These are the types of listeners that are casual just to get by on their time where quality don’t matter. You and I seek for breathtaking realism that would put joy on our ear and soul. 😆

I've downloaded FLAC from NUGS before but maybe the streams are different.

Listening to Nugs via Bluetooth through the Ultra really doesn't sound good to my ears.

I just downloaded the Nugs app on iOS, don’t have an account just a free one and I can use Chromecast from even that, so I’m surprised you can’t do that on android.

Agreed, I wrote about the issue as it was one of the first things I tried to do. WiiM responded to me with "use Bluetooth"! Very disappointing.

When you set up your ultra , did you set up Chromecast and if so, do you see it in your google home app?

I just downloaded Nugs.net on my Android phone, and again I can see my Ultra as a Chromecast target when I choose the rectangular casting icon - see the screenshot below. What does your now playing screen in the Nugs.net app look like?

On iOS you maybe paying premium and lock eco system but for the most part their devices works as advertised because they controlled their own platform as opposed of open source android. I’m also hardcore gamer where there’s only 2 brand to choose from between amd and nvidia. Amd is open source whereas nvidia is lock eco system. In my experience lock eco system tend to provide quality at the expense of higher cost.

I did set it up, and it gets connected and ready to go on the Ultra, but the Nugs website won't play for some reason. It's very odd.

I’ll have another go tomorrow and see if it works for me.

Edit: just a quick test before lights out - seems ok chromecasting from my iPad app to my WiiM pro. Must be something awry in your Android/Chromecast setup

Yeah, Nugs via Chromecast definitely not working for me. But loving the other uses though! Spotify (very high bitrate), HDMI-ARC, and phono all work flawlessly and sound fantastic!!

Serious music lover would not listen to lossy music services other than casual listener to get by.

I am a casual listener with a discerning ear. Nugs on my Android phone>bluetooth>Ultra>rsl amp>Dali Spektor-2s sounds muddy to my casual ears. Spotify hi res does not sound muddy. I'd like to hear Nugs sans muddy on my Ultra asap. I could hook a pc up to it, but I bought the Ultra for convenience. Being a casual listener and all.
