Use the usb socket as power supplie for a external bluetooth receiver (aptx HD).
Only need the power during using opt. in with the bt receiver.
So otherwise it could be switched of, but at the moment it's not supported.

Did that Bluetooth receiver work via USB?

Since the WiiM's USB port doesn't support audio input (it only supports media input), I'd be surprised if that were possible.

I believe the Bluetooth receiver needs to be connected to either the optical, coaxial, or line-in port.

This would be a nice feature to have. I have a salt lamp with a USB powered LED light in it. I thought about powereing it from the Amp Ultra, but it stays on even when the Amp is off. It would be good to have the option of the USB power being off when in standby or off states. I admit this is not exactly core functionality though! :)

Powering a lamp? Maybe not.;)
But a number of people want this so their usb connected dacs turn off.
Of course, others like it how it is so their usb hdds stay powered on, so other devices can see / play the music.

This has been asked for for a long time. So, as it has not been enabled yet, the hardware do probably not support it to be turned off and the USB power is just permanently on.
