I'm WiiM mini user since its appearance and I'm still using it, despite the amplifier (Nad C3050LE) has its own Bluos streaming platform. WiiM it's far more versatile and above all, much more reliable.
In three years of experience I don't remember a single quirk or anything not promptly solved in a breeze.
Instead, on Bluos side, besides missing features, I constantly face new problems every single update and the solutions are rare, not so fast and sometimes still missing. From tidal connect connecting one time every five attempts, to random clipping with 88.2KHz, from Dirac stops working to instability that lead to reboot.
Any time I opened a ticket, the answer was alway that they reproduced the problem but since not managing updates, they can't say when a fix will be released.
The last one quirk, obviously after a new release that seemed fix instability and clipping (after a year of waiting) is a mystery message of toslink incompatibility when 44.1KHz and 88.2KHz with Dirac inserted, are in use. Any other sample rate works and if Dirac is off, 44.1KHz and 88.2KHz get back to work.
They answered that replicated the problem and that affects the C3050LE only. Obviously they can't say when a fix will be released...
This quirk affects my WiiM mini use and this disappoint me a lot. That amplifier with Dirac sound is the best thing I ever heard, since the old times of my brief recording studio activities...
I suggested to Bluos and Nad support, to take example from WiiM support... 🙄
