Power supply in acoustics is very important, so they put air conditioners and surge protectors. The switching power supply is not capable of producing a good clean current.

In Russia, many wiim owners change power supplies and all receive a significant increase in quality.

In my wiim tract, the cheapest and weakest link, but after replacing the power supply, I have no quality issues.

I still don't get it. What do you think is the issue if power is not "clean"?

The digital part will not suffer. If it did, the CPU would crash. The DAC clock does not care. The analog part (if you use it) can be affected but that will not change the sound, just introduce noise (humming).

As long as the power supply can provide enough power and stable voltage it will be fine to my opinion.

To note: Some are after 3rd party linear power supplies… the reality is that digital components (streamers/dacs/Class-D-amps) may suffer with those as they may lack appropriate RF filters, which a competent switching power supply should have.

Do you really think that a cheap power supply from a kit can provide a fairly stable and high-quality power supply, without interference and interference?
