Hi

New to streaming via the WiiM Ultra but have used Tidal and Qobuz on iPhone for ages and I'm loving the Ultra's streaming capabilities. So here's my issue; using the native Qobuz app on my phone, I can select Library and then when I select an artist, the opening screen (see below) shows only albums I have previously selected as a favourite with a further link/option to "Go to artist page" where I can then see much more. This works well as I can see only the albums I am interested in and have previously added as favourites.

However if I access the Qobuz music service via the Ultra there is no Library option and I have to select favourites | artists | and then select an artist but now I see the artists page which shows a bunch of albums and an option to see more but not the albums I have already added as my favourites. I know that I can order albums by artist and this then only shows me the 'favourite' tagged albums but then I have to apply a filter. or scroll to find the artist. I can also select my favourite artists and then filter by artist name and can then select albums and I am then shown only previously selected favourite albums. I hope I have explained this clearly 😳

Or am I doing something wrong here and there is another simpler option?

No, I’d say what you’re experiencing is typical of the more limited interfaces that streaming services make available to third party developers like WiiM. The native app is always going to offer more features and flexibility, and use of the 3rd party API isn’t always synced with the standalone native app.

Hopefully Qobuz Connect will soon be available and that way you can continue to use the more feature rich native app and cast to your WiiM device.

Thanks for the prompt reply, I kinda guessed that's be the answer. I went Qobuz rather than Tidal due the former's much larger library of high res music. I hope the 'connect' option will be available soon.

Hi teddybear,

You can access your library by tapping the hamburger menu (three lines) in the top left corner. There, you'll find your playlists and library.

Give it a try, and let me know if it works for you!

Thanks, hadn't found that however it still presents the same problem; that I can see the fav albums (listed by artist) or I can see all my fav artists but selecting an artist takes me to the artist page thereby showing a random selection of tracks and albums and not those in my library marked as favs. Its a nuisance especially when an artist has a lot of albums but when I'm interested in a few e.g. a search for Genesis ends up with the artist page and a further click shows 17 albums of which I have only 7 in my favourites.

Feel free to port the features and functions of the native app onto the WiiM Home app

To a degree, WiiM are tied to what the third party API allows it to do.

Personally I don’t believe the WiiM app should try to be the all-singing, all-dancing universal app for all the music services that WiiM devices can support, especially when there are (or soon will be) connect/casting mechanisms from the fully featured native apps :)
