Hello,

Just bought the Wiim Pro.
I did a search and couldn't find an answer for my question on the forum.
Please is it possible to rate songs from 1 to 5?

Thanks for all your help in advance.

If your streaming service has such a rating system, includes it in their API, and WiiM has implemented that part of their API in the WHA (WiiM Home App), then it would be possible. I'm familiar with a few streaming services and am unaware of any that have the specific functionality you describe, but I do know I can "favorite" songs etc. in the WHA while streaming Qobuz content.

Consider using LMS as your media server - there is a Ratings Light plugin that will do as you require.

LMS works very well with a WiiM Pro / Pro Plus since WiiM added the Squeezelite client. WiiM Mini requires the LMS UPnP/DLNA Bridge plugin.

Depending on your NAS you may be able to run LMS directly on the NAS in a Docker.

Thanks for replying.
I use Synology with MinimServer free version.
Don’t know if the paid version will include the rating feature. Will take a look on LMS later.
Thanks

I don’t believe that Minimserver allows you to rate tracks, whether it be the paid or unpaid version.

I just checked and Sinology does not support Docker anymore.
I have a Mac laptop, already installed docker and LMS.
Please how can I configure LMS now? Does exist a beginner setup guide?

Thanks, will need to check what’s going on. I see the port as 9000, and I’m using the ip address of the docker, but still not able to open the page.
First time using docker, will need to read more about it.
Thanks

From previous discussions on LMS and Docker, I seem to recall the latter has to be run in host mode

Was able to install docker on my synology.
Installed lms on docker.
Able to run lms through web browser, mapped songs and playlist folder.
Through the web browser I'm able to play my songs and select wiim as my player.
But when I open the wiim pro app I can't see lms as a media server, only MinimServer and my Nas.
Don't know if I'm missing some or this is the correct behavior (Through the web browser I'm able to play my songs and select wiim as my player.)

Thanks for all your help so far.

Yes this is correct.
You don’t control via WiiM App
Install Material plugin the open in your phone
On iOS open in Safari, do Add to Home Screen, close then reopen via new ucon
Ratings light should appear as star rating when you play something
