Reduced latency on analog inputs

I have a somewhat specific feature request. Some people might enjoy using Wiim Ultra's analog inputs to connect music equipment and play through the speakers with room correction eq applied. This might include stuff like DJ equipment, turntables, electric piano or some other instruments plugged into the line in. When I tried this I experienced so much latency that the unit is unusable for this application. I know Ultra is not designed for this application but direct monitoring option on the analog inputs would greatly expand functionality of the already great device. Thanks!

Well that sucks... is there a fix/workaround for this? I guess I dont have to move away from my POWERNODE since this is a common thing with these amps.

I'm looking to move away from the Bluesound POWERNODE and to a WiiM Ultra but only if it solves this delay issue... reason being, I wish to connect my DJ mixer to the WiiM occasionally, but the 50ms delay on my BLUESOUND makes this difficult. Does anyone know if the Ultra has a fix for this?
Nope, the Ultra has the same problem.. minimum 50ms delay on the output. That's why we're all here asking for a fix :)

What I do is.. I have an independent sound system for my living room with its own DSP and all... I feed the DJ mixer into one input on that, and the Wiim Ultra goes into another input. So my DJ setup doesn't go through the Wiim. This means that I can't really use the sub output or really any DSP features of the Wiim, all that is done by the DSP in my main system. Not ideal but I had the other system before I got the Wiim.. I just added the Wiim and use it as a basic streamer into the other system.... For now it's the only solution.

One very simple solution if going with the WiiM Ultra + separate amp, could be to grab the new Topping Mini 300 amp.

It features balanced inputs & RCA inputs so you can connect your dj mixer and WiiM Ultra simultaneously and simply use the toggle switch in the front to switch between both.

Same latency issue here: Would like to connect my electric guitar with a amp profiling plug (ToneX plug) to the Ultra. Connected Amps are from HiFi Akademie. Why? Just to practice in the living room without headphones.
It's pretty ugly to play, as the sound from the speakers comes pretty late after hitting a string - no fun.
I doubt that this amount of latency isn't to avoid because of DSP processing. I don't use room EQ or other features. As standard setup (but not in the living room), i use 2 2channel plate amplifiers from Hypex in full range (FRFR) speakers, without any latency problems. And these amps also provide DSP with crossover, lots of EQs, all of them in use.
Would be glad if there would be a way to reduce latency.

Yes, but then you can't use the DSP features or subwoofer output.

So yea, in my system I feed the Wiim output into a separate DSP unit.. and also my DJ mixer feeds the same DSP unit.. and from there into amplifiers for left, right, sub...

All my DSP settings are in the secondary DSP unit and I leave them turned off in the Wiim, which is a shame.
