SACD audio layer to WiiM Amp

I have a Sony bdp -s6700 blu-ray player connected via hdmi to my Samsung qn65q smart tv. Sacd layer players fine on TV speakers.

I have my WiiM amp connected to same tv - also via hdmi. It plays audio from TV, streaming, blu-ray and cd layer, but not Sacd layer.

I can’t figure out why - I have tried every combination of hdmi/optical cables, pcm settings, passthru, dsd settings and bit rates I can think of.

Any thoughts? Is the WIiM amp not capable of playing Sacd layer?

The Samsung TV cannot output the SACD layer, though it should output the SACD layer as 16/44.1 if you have that output set to PCM and not Bitstream.
The Samsung TV also cannot process native DSD, when you listen via the TV speakers that is no doubt also downsampled to PCM.
