The lively sound of bower Wilkins!Don't have a clean shot of my set up at the minute but my amp seems to be happy with my B&W 606's. Previously using a Cambridge audio 'One' to drive them+ a cc audio for streaming. The experience of the WiiM amp to stream to and Interact with via the apps / remote is night and day betterand I haven't noticed losing anything audio wise (besides a physical cd player and a lot less heat).
This speaker has room at the back but is still partially bunged before any one commentsView attachment 5290
I made it fiveDid you really need to cross post this three times?
Wowwwww is the WiiM Amp capable of driving those beautiful JBLs ???
It does do a respectable job at lower levels. But once I turn it up it where the amp shows it weakness. It’s loud and clear but they need at least 100 jigga watts to start to really sound amazing. But with that being said I absolutely love my WiiM amp and its software.Wowwwww is the WiiM Amp capable of driving those beautiful JBLs ???
I think ShairTunes plugin only provides an Airplay 1 target, not airplay 2. See https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/...-sonos-chromecast-players-using-airplay.4644/Living room setup:
As a bonus, running the ShairTunes2 plug-in within LMS on the Pi allows me use the Wiim Amp Pro as an Airplay 2 target from my phone (via the Wiim's Squeezelite function).
- Raspberry Pi 5 with Touch Display 2 and Hifiberry Digi2 Pro running Lyrion Music Server/PiCorePlayer/Jivelite-vis
- Wiim Amp Pro
- B&W CM1 bookshelf speakers, and
- B&W ASW610XP subwoofer
Thanks, I think you’re right and that it’s Airplay not Airplay 2 (difficult to spot which version from the iPhone).I think ShairTunes plugin only provides an Airplay 1 target, not airplay 2. See https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/...-sonos-chromecast-players-using-airplay.4644/
Yeah, you can tell in that you can’t select it along with other airplay targets as you can with Airplay 2. Upside though is that it’s lossless CD quality rather than lossy 256kbps AAC that you’d get using Apple Music. Thanks, I think you’re right and that it’s Airplay not Airplay 2 (difficult to spot which version from the iPhone).
