I tend to think so too. And as I said, a support agent told me the hardware doesn’t support it - one of the downsides of a “system on a chip” perhaps…Can this be done via firmware update? I think if that was possible wiim would already gave us that feature.

It’s not the only response in that faq that’s at best ambiguousWhich is strangely in direct conflict with the ultra faq
Question: "Can it be configured to send the audio to all output channels simultaneously -- both Analog and Digital?"
Wiim response: "We can output to all channels simultaneously with software update that we will do later."
If that was the case, they have enough time to do it since the roadmap is nearing to its end. There’s hardly anything left on roadmap. Bug fix going forward.Which is strangely in direct conflict with the ultra faq

Toslink splitters are readily available and inexpensive. A two output splitter doesn’t even need power, though 3+ outputs will require an external power source.I would really like to have coax and optical outputs working at the same time. I have the coax going into an RME ADI-2 DAC FS and the optical going into a Sonos Amp via the Sonos Optical Audio Adapter.
Would be nice but probably not supported by hardware. Else I would think it had been implemented already, as it has been asked for for a long time.We need "All" option in Audio output
This has been requested since the device came out. Wiim would have enable this feature if was possible. We need "All" option in Audio output
It's probably mostly a performance problem of the CPU.I have just requested from support the ability to select two separate simultaneous USB outputs when connecting more than one DAC using a USB HUB as both show when connected. This feature should not be hardware dependent.
