Smart Cross Fade

Cross Fade is a great feature, because especially with mixed albums the crossing from one to another song can be brutal! Spotify as well as environments like good old LMS mangage these issues brilliantly.
LMS even very clever - there it‘ll be done only, if it‘s not from the same album in the correct order. Also youcan define the nr. Of seconds to crossover.
Not so in WiiM! it would be great to have this functionality as well!

I’m sure the purist audiophiles will be able to choose to switch off the features they don’t wish to impact upon their audio stream, just as they can currently ignore EQ/PEQ, volume limits, non-fixed volume etc etc in the WiiM Home app.

Might be quite difficult to do without a server component (or a more powerful master), especially given they can't do hi-res sync yet.
