Smart Presets - groups

Some feedback from friends who have two WiiM systems set up in large open-plan spaces. For example, a room with a WiiM Ultra around the living room area + a WiiM Amp driving speakers in the kitchen area...

Sometimes they want independent control, other times it'd be great to quickly link the systems together with the press of a preset button. Having to open the app and link things together is a bit of a faff when it could be done so much quicker.

Maybe persistent groups are the way to do this?

Interesting...
While presets are device specific, it seems that persistent groups are available everywhere (how does that work?!) so it doesn't seem unreasonable for a smart preset to be able to choose between the local device and a group.
If the group gets deleted presumably it could just fall back to the device.

Perhaps what the team is referring to here is the ability to select groups with smart presets.

Roadmap mentions Group selection as part of Smart Presets but no mention in these release notes or in the Smart Preset FAQ. Hope this does come soon, my main hope for Smart Presets was to configure one-click, app-free commands to group/ungroup devices with the remote or Ultra screen
