Smart watches & Wiim

I've set my Samsung watch to connect to my Wiim via Bluetooth. I can play radio stations & podcasts using a watch app called igear radio. A Wear watch version of the smart TV app would be nice.

Here's an idea of how iGear Radio looks:

A watch app would be like using a remote to control the Wiim - but with less chance of losing the remote under the furniture

In a hobby where some people pay tens of thousands of dollars for a piece of wire I can't really perceive remote control from a smart watch as something decadent - that at least does something, regardless if one finds it useful or not.

My Galaxy watch 8 is connected to the Wiim Home App with no additional software required. It just uses the media player that is pre-installed on the watch.

I assume that this setup depends on using the watch plus phone plus Wiim app together?

Nothing happening on my WiiMs, not even when I turn the bezel .

The igearradio.com app for wear os doesn't require a phone just a WiFi connection. The backend radio & podcast aggregator is pretty good (including the elusive BBC ones!). Battery life is hopeless!
