I wouldn't have complained if it was new, of course, but 25 grand is just to much for a pair of pre-loved cables.

Btw, I found the cheap AliExpress clones of the Blue Heaven cables to be quite good. Very low resistance (readily assembled with banana plugs) and capacitance.
