You mean it wasn’t you that posted in the WiiM Fan Page on Facebook that you used “a Belkin sound form to the optical input”? “WiiM Ultra” wouldn’t appear as an airplay target in your screenshot unless it was clearly using one of the workarounds I linked to, or it was another device masquerading as an Ultra. Can you look at my original post and highlight where I called my airplay device an ultra?i just said I got my ultra to work with airplay pretty much. To be crystal clear. I bought a Belkin sound form used the optical in on the Ultra for Apple Music so my wife can use the stereo system. Good god. Can we leave it at that. The toxic level is high enough.Would that be this post by any chance.
Need optical cable recommendation for WiiM Mini.
I’ve tried 3 different optical cables for my WiiM Mini and can’t get a snug connection with any of them. It’s always a loose fit. Still works but cables can fall out easily. Wondering what cables will snap in for a snug fit.forum.wiimhome.com
"The toxic level" as you call it seems to be coming from you.To be crystal clear. I bought a Belkin sound form used the optical in on the Ultra for Apple Music so my wife can use the stereo system. Good god. Can we leave it at that. The toxic level is high enough.
Ok man. I’m just happy it worked for my situation. Convo is over. Replies won’t be read or answered. Have a good day."The toxic level" as you call it seems to be coming from you.
Are you sure even if you level match them and do a blind test?I will change the name of the ultra to Lumin X1. Its going to sound better for sure
I'm going to paint my Mercedes red and stick a Ferrari badge on it, it'll be much faster (joking of course)I will change the name of the ultra to Lumin X1. Its going to sound better for sure
Actually, renaming the Belkin Sound to WiiM Ultra (even with missing capitalisation of the M) was the most sensible thing in this entire thread.
The idea is to hide from the (non techsavy) family the fact that there even is a third party device. The approach isn't exactly new and not a sign of genius. But it's appropriate. Renamed it and set it up for ease of use for my wife as she love Apple Music. Wasn’t trying to hide anything. At least I don’t think I was I’m just glad it works for her
