So. I did a thing this morning

Using a third party airplay device, calling it WiiM Ultra and posting a screenshot of it is a bit clickbaitish ;)

Other options are available viz.
Thread 'AirConnect: Send audio to UPnP/Sonos/Chromecast players using AirPlay'
https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/...-sonos-chromecast-players-using-airplay.4644/
Can you look at my original post and highlight where I called my airplay device an ultra?i just said I got my ultra to work with airplay pretty much. I looked again but didn’t see it. Sober up

You mean it wasn’t you that posted in the WiiM Fan Page on Facebook that you used “a Belkin sound form to the optical input”? “WiiM Ultra” wouldn’t appear as an airplay target in your screenshot unless it was clearly using one of the workarounds I linked to, or it was another device masquerading as an Ultra.

No need to fire off insults either…

Would that be this post by any chance.

To be crystal clear. I bought a Belkin sound form used the optical in on the Ultra for Apple Music so my wife can use the stereo system. Good god. Can we leave it at that. The toxic level is high enough.

Actually, renaming the Belkin Sound to WiiM Ultra (even with missing capitalisation of the M) was the most sensible thing in this entire thread. :p

The idea is to hide from the (non techsavy) family the fact that there even is a third party device. The approach isn't exactly new and not a sign of genius. But it's appropriate. :)

I have my pro plus named as "hifi" and my WiiM amp named "office hifi" :)

I have my WiiM Amp named WiiM Amp and my WiiM Ultra called WiiM Ultra and my WiiM Amp Pro named WiiM Amp Pro.

Question: Can you guess the name of my AudioPro C10 WiiM Edition? :p
