Spotify Spotify Connect Limitation?

Found this

So it seems there may be something Wiim can do about automating disconnect if it is configurable in the Spotify API
Thank you, that is the first time I have seen that.

Can this be operated from the outside? You may have to always press the button in the account page.
I copied the URL and accessed it to try it out and the app stayed logged in.🤔

if you forget them all 5 on on your phone and then your wife also forgets all 5 what happens ?
I actually tried this. She still sees all 5, I see none. I think the disconnect bug being mentioned is on the right track.

I say this because I also have a Control4 system that implements Spotify Connect. It has a specific setting for this (2nd from last option). I suspect this will take some time to fix, so if anyone is in the market for 5 basically brand new Pro Plus units, let me know.

Maybe submit a feature request ticket to WiiM to force disconnect Spotify Connect sessions after a configurable period of time. That might upset some people who will complain about having to reconnect each session but maybe it could be implemented like standby time which has “never” as an option.

I wonder what devices like Bluesound etc do in this situation?
I have same issues (more or less) as you can see on the other post for Spotify Connect problems on Ultra.
My Bluesound Node2i never disconnect, or never have any problem, sometimes I shut off the power totally for weeks, and it Connect well.

As i said on the other post, there is a problem with the network detection, Spotify thinks the Wiim (ultra for me) is on an a other network (absolutly not), confirmed on my laptop.
I shut off the local detection on Spotify iOS settings, and then, it works perfectly.

Disabling local device visibility is a well known solution for users of Alexa when their echo devices can’t be seen by the Spotify app, so that setting is often switched off for many users.
