Spotify Spotify Lossless is here, it's official!

I did some Spotify vs. Qobuz listening comparisons with songs specified in 16-bit 44.1 kHz on Qobuz, assuming they're of the same quality on Spotify. I don't hear any difference between the two. I've tried both platforms, but I'm sticking with Qobuz for four reasons:
1- The price is cheaper with a one-year subscription.
2- Artists are paid more with Qobuz.
3- Qobuz has higher-resolution songs (do I hear the difference? Not sure)
4- I also own an Eversolo Play, which doesn't yet support Spotify Lossless.

Test Equipment:
WiiM Ultra
Fiio K7 BT DAC Headphone Amplifier
Denon AH-D7200 Headphones

There is a new video testing streaming services in which Cameron Oatley (aka GoldenSound) has uploaded the RME bit test tracks to all the major streaming services:

So now anyone with a RME DAC can test their set-up... I can confirm that Spotify Connect passes the bit perfect test from my WiiM Pro to an ADI-2 DAC FS at 16bit/44.1 kHz and 24bit/44.1 kHz

He still seems to be steadfastly ignoring the use of streamers. I'd maybe go as far as saying that those who use a general purpose mobile or desktop o/s to listen to music aren't really bothered whether it's bit perfect or not 🤷‍♂️

Great to read. It still bit bother me that I feel more aligned to the audio coming out from Qobuz streaming than the Spotify Connect streaming of same track, trying to get the same recording edition when multiple are available. Nuances, but feel Qobuz more separated and "dry" as sound than Spotify slights low/mid focused. On same gear for all the rest and no EQ applied.
Go figure.

What is a “dry” sound? Asking for a friend

All the standard fluffy tropes are also included:

"but the soundstage opens up, greater texture and nuance are revealed, and bass extension is deeper and darker when listening to higher quality tracks"

"I don't think that most people will notice a difference unless they have the right equipment."

That should be a standard marketing expression - now with “fluffy tropes”! 🤣
