Spotify Spotify music pro option is $6

Think of it like this.
Spotify is radio.
It's not a record store. It isn't comparable with bandcamp etc. Or even with hq services.
Like radio it compresses the stream for efficient delivery and pays out at radio royalty levels.
You aren't buying the music, you are paying to listen to a personal radio.
And like radio you get stuff you might not like, you get random stuff you might like, and someone else is making a lot of money selling popularity data back to record marketing companies.

Do I want better quality, yes.
But that won't make Spotify better or more artist friendly.

If you really are bothered then buy from the artist or an indie record store,
🖤🙌😎

This.
It's shockingly shonky as an app. It just about holds together but is flimsy and tends to fall over / freeze.
They need a ground up rewrite

In this past years, I never had any kind of problems with the app. Works seamlessly, and stable!
The music I get in the suggested playlist are highly personalized. I am not easy to satisfy in this regard, but over time these suggestions became really good!
The quality is very acceptable for non-Hi-Rez.
The price - acceptable.
What the artists get? Yeah, this is probably the only point that wants me to move somewhere else…

Who said it is? 🤔

Pointless generalization of the week... 😅

How is this so different with other streaming services? Remember, this is a forum from a brand selling, well, music "streamers".

We will have to pay not 10,99 but 12,99 now..
And still no high res..
I did cancel the subscription.
I choose for Tidal and Qobuz.
By downgrading from Family Premium to Family Premium Basic, I should keep the same pricing.

Only thing missing would be audiobooks.

Not sure if everyone is eligible to "downgrade" to one of those Basic plans.

I don,t have the option to downgrade.
When i listen to music i,m using Tidal or Qobuz.
For podcasts i can live with the ads.. even if i pay i get some ads with podcasts.

I will miss the audiobooks but so be it..

Maybe somewhere in 2027 it will be there..:ROFLMAO:
Let them sponsor Barcelona what they like..i voted against Spotify..ended my subcription.
that's great to hear! finally it seems people are voting with their cash on this one... it's about time. :)

for me the unwanted flashy videos in the app and useless features like audiobooks and podcasts were no reason to stick around. the interface became bloated and distracting. similarly the AI stuff is so overhyped - they already had a decent "radio" system before and they've made it worse over the years.

not to mention the AI generated music that they randomly insert into playlists now, i heard?! 😡

Adding bloatware on music service is not my personal preference, just point click and play straight forward.
