Hi I'm new to this, I get my new Wiim Ultra tomorrow. I have a quick question, I have a pair of Q accoustics M40s and a Q accoustics 3060 subwoofer. Would it be best to leave the sub connected to the sub out on the speakers or connect it via the Wiim ultra sub output, I'm presuming I can control the sub from the Wiim? Hope this makes sense. Thanks
Phil.

Hi just finished connecting my Ultra. I have my active q accoustics subwoofer connected to the Ultra, where should I have the levels on the sub set so I can adjust it correctly through the Wiim app please? Also is it supposed to turn the sub off when I turn off the Ultra, because it isn't? Thanks.
Phil.

It's usually best to set the volume on the sub to roughly 50%. Setting it too low would potentially increase noise from the source (the Ultra). Setting it too low will amplify noise from the sub itself.

Keep the setting on the sub and increase or decrease the level in the subwoofer section in the WiiM Home app until it matches.

Also, set "frequency" to "AV" on the sub. The Ultra will provide the filtering. You may want to play around with different crossover frequcies in the WiiM Home app.

You should also check if adding a latency to the main speakers in WHA results in better integration (highest level at the crossover frequency). You might have to re-adjust the level.

Finally, running the room correction should help.to iron out any remaining roughness in the response.

I have the same speakers and subwoofer. I have connected the subwoofer to the speakers. When connecting the subwoofer to the Ultra, I found that using the M40 speaker remote control to adjust the volume didn't affect the subwoofer (it's connected to the Ultra obs) and this had an undesirable result on the listening experience, bass too loud or too quiet.

Thanks, also how have you connected the speakers to the Wiim via Bluetooth or RCA in? I've done the latter and I thought switching on the Wiim would power up the speakers but this isn't the case. Cheers.

I have connected the speakers through RCA and through optical, I prefer the sound through RCA. M40 speakers will not auto power up from the Ultra, these speakers only auto power up with USB connection.
