What is more worrying is the total lack of communication. I hope this isn't going to be a case of sunk cost fallacy.
"Plex native" has some value (eg for my wife who might very occasionally want to play something from my Plex server). Get it to work decently and call it completed without getting into the trap of implementing too many plexamp features (completely missing still...).
At the same time tell your audience that you hear them and put onto your roadmap the headless plexamp as endpoint. Doesn't have to be tomorrow. Just proper roadmap target..
If they don't after all this feedback then 1) don't act like you listen to your audience 2) don't act as if you have any even semi-decent plex support...

In the meantime yes let's report through WiiM app etc but
- for a beta feature with them 100% sure monitoring this thread closely reading every comment
- and seeing most people who react (semi-)positive still being disappointed about headless plexamp endpoint missing...
- and expectations on this forum very clear throughout a months long expectations roadmap buildup that plexamp endpoint was the expectation
... being completely ignored is just showing a complete lack of respect IMO
