switching inputs

Hello,
how does switching input work regarding virtual and physical inputs? For instance, AppleTV is connected via bluetooth. If I stop playback on it and start on iPhone via airplay will ot change to airplay input? Same thing if I start playing something on line in or optical!?

It does for me between Spotify Connect, Chromecast, Alexa Cast, Amazon Music in the Wiim app, BBC Radio in the Wiim app.

So not quite the same but I'd say yes.
