Test WIIM pro+ with different power supplies

It remains a little miracle how some chosen ones can hear differences the majority cannot hear and nobody can measure. The many different effects and biases that have been scientifically proven to fool our perception are simply the more likely reason for any "miles apart" differences in my book.

Expectation bias has a lot to answer for.

Topics like this are why I stopped getting involved in audio-eurika nonsense years ago. Everything is personal preference but black-white positions & placebo rage on endlessly on music forums. Yawn.
  • In youth I believed pretty much everything the audio mags told me so spent more than I had.
  • Older, I joined in audio-discussions and became confused, spending even more as I could now afford it.
  • In middle age I developed deep cynicism, bought less & started packing my loft (attic) with the stuff I couldn't sell. The stuff I bought was becoming very expensive.
  • In later middle age I discovered speaker time alignment & that it wasn't really the equipment but placement, the room & its acoustics that made a real difference. I completely STOPPED buying music mags and involvement in forums, realising that most of the equipment and snake-oil devices I owned made marginal difference but the system had become exactly what I had been searching for.
  • Since ~2012 I have a fabulous sounding setup and just use it to listen to music - a close friend using nearly £500k of the latest Linn equipment still rates my system as more life-like & 'better' whatever that means.
You don't see me posting much other than for the real reason a music system exists ('what are you listening to') & I remain content with that.

Which one?
Here are some references but do your own search. :p

You didn't provide a specific and precise example; instead, you bombarded me with generalities.
You probably can't provide such an example correctly.
Believe it or not, the graphs you cited are not the jitter measurements discussed here.

"The lack of understanding can lead to the creation of personal or simplified explanations to fill the gaps in knowledge."
Exactly.

Well, we've discussed A/B/x testing a few times in the forums... it's not as easy as people think to conduct such tests and to analyse the data without bias and confounding...

See the discussion here if you are interested... but that's basically why we recommend extended listening at home (or a familiar system). When trying to judge subtle differences in SQ caused by making a change... 🤔
