. I was hugely impressed how intelligent, considerate & sensible everyone was. And despite rumours to the contrary, the food was pretty good too

You have the best breakfast in the worldI lived in the BRD during the 70s & 80s. A great country, as long as you avoided the US Army tank convoys clogging up the Autobahnen
I spent 3 years as a student in Birmingham. To me, this is a major part of what made Britain great. There’s so much music which was heavily influenced by immigrants. Blue Lines by Massive Attack used many ingredients that were being used by Americans at the same time but yet it doesn’t sound like anything from the US. I doubt that anyone there would have thought of using Horace Andy. Lots of other music as well but I don’t want to start rambling for hours.
