The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

I lived in the BRD during the 70s & 80s. A great country, as long as you avoided the US Army tank convoys clogging up the Autobahnen 😁. I was hugely impressed how intelligent, considerate & sensible everyone was. And despite rumours to the contrary, the food was pretty good too 🍲😁😋

In the 2000s, I spent two weeks in Birmingham as an employee of a large mobile phone manufacturer and was very pleased with the hospitality. Nice, friendly people. You have the best breakfast in the world 🥓🍳😉

I spent 3 years as a student in Birmingham. We and our landlord (a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the old - school! ) lived in an area where all the neighbours were West Indian families (calypso & early reggae).
Wonderful memories.
