What do you think the future holds for digital music/audio ?

Embedding metadata into digital music material, that can then be used by AI to EQ/shape the final sound so as to be aligned with the artist(s) preferences. Must be equipment, environment and listener agnostic.

Hmm... Seems like a very tall order to me. Without getting the artist in question around to my house, how would I know that they 'like' the final result? In the absence of said artist, how could I be sure that what is coming out of my system in my room is 'correct'?

In addition, as an old fart, my hearing is no longer what it was (for example, alas I can no longer hear John Bonham's squeaky bass pedal in Since I've Been Loving You). So the EQ settings that sound good to me, could well be a long way from what was intended or preferred by the artist or indeed the mastering engineer.

However, embedding metadata into digital music and indeed video media that manages ownership, distribution rights, royalty payments etc seems like something that could happen quite easily. Even makes me wonder why it's not already there.

Argh, indeed awfull, sorry Wiimer, a matter of taste offcource. What is very noticeable in every AI music creation I heard till now is that especially vocals are made of stacked noise profiles, like grainy noise. Don't know how to describe it otherwise but once you hear it you will notice it right away. In this particular example you can hear what I mean also in the violin in the beginning of the song...

Sorry, I somehow got the URL wrong. That one isn't mine. (Probably because I copied the link while it was playing...)

My account is Wiimer.

Well, it doesn't change the fact that what I made is terrible.πŸ˜‚

"The update is freeThe update is free, UuuCheck, check, go check for the update right now"

No worse & much better than tons of non-AI rubbish - well done πŸŽΆπŸ‘πŸ€–πŸ˜‹

Sorry, but to me this is irrelevant thrash that I've heard a thousand times before. It reminds me of the music you hear in schmaltzy movies and telenovelas (this AI music might be suitable for that, as well as for games, advertising, etc.) or music that self-proclaimed β€œmusicians” have clicked together from sound snippets in a DAW (e.g. Magix MusicMaker etc.).
Don't be angry with me, and have fun with your new hobby, but that's my honest opinion πŸ˜‡
