Tidal Connect with non hard wired speakers

If I use Tidal Connect with wi-fi to speakers do I basically nullify the value of Tidal Hi Res and connect?

So your speakers have tidal connect built into them?

Not they do not - I read that WIIM does but I suspect i remove (so to speak) the functionality by using wi-fi to speakers.

I think I need to uderstand what you mean by wifi to speakers...

No - instead of using an optical cable from WIIM to speakers - use airplay

In which case you're really only benefiting from using the native tidal app

AirPlay 1 and 2 don’t do High Res. Best you can get with AirPlay 1 is CD Quality.
