Hello forum members, my problem is that my Wii U Ultra volume is set to very low through the Toslink optical output, and it goes up three at a time. The volume bar pops up, but the volume is very low on my Sony audio system. Please help me with the Wii U Ultra settings. What should I do? This situation is very frustrating.

Greetings!!!

What is a Wii U Ultra

How do you change the WiiM Ultra volume? Using the WiiM Home App, the remote, the phone lock-screen widget or the knob on the Ultra?

What do you mean by "set to very low through the Toslink optical output,"?

What is your volume settings on the Sony system?

The Volume setting on my Sony audio system is optical input to the optical output of the Wii Ultra and HDMI ARC from my audio system to my regular HDMI 2 TV.

Sorry I don't understand that.

I didn't ask about connectivity but volume settings as you asked about low volume.

Please answer the questions in my first post and I will try to help but I need to understand the situation first.

Could you please rephrase how your entire system is set up? It's really hard to understand from this one sentence.

... and it goes up three at a time.
This indicates you might be using the physical WiiM remote that comes with the WiiM Ultra. If so, you can configure how a single button press should affect the volume setting. In the WiiM Home app go to device settings => Remote => Remote Settings:

Tell us some more about your Sony sound system.

Have you only tried the ultra optical output?
Can / have you tried coax or rca? Are they low volume too?

What are you playing on the ultra? e.g. spotify, local files from usb.
Do you have any negative pre gain applied in the Audio input screen in tbe wiim home app?

What does the Audio Settings screen look like?
