because music from a radiostation is streamed at a very, too low bitrate, just 96 kbps. The same station streams 320kbps in their own app. I don’t know what is left of it when I google cast this app, because The WiiM app doe not show the bitrate using google cast anymore….

That’s not atypical of TuneIn in my experience.

Re Chromecast, WiiM found that they could reliably extract the bitrate so rather than showing potentially wrong info, they stopped showing it. However, given that Chromecast can support higher bitrate lossless streams to WiiM devices, if your radio app claims 320kbps, that’s what your WiiM will receive.

Listening a broadcast meant for casual listening or to get by not serious audiophile quality.

You can be right, but….. I like to classical music and by this station I do hear new music and they broadcast live concerts etc. So, I like to get the best possible quality. Otherwise I use Qobuz…

See this website where you can find the website url for HD quality internet radio stations, some of which are classical. Enter the “streaming url” shown into Open Network Stream section of the WiiM app to listen to them.

Edit: For example, enter http://amp.cesnet.cz:8000/cro-d-dur.flac into Open Network Stream in the WiiM Home app browse page.

Are you logged into your TuneIn account from within the WiiM Home app and did you allow your TuneIn account to be connected with WiiM?

What's the actual station you're talking about, so others can check if gey experience the same?

Definitely the better alternative to TuneIn in most cases.
