On my Ultra, the ´ Turn off screen in Standby mode ´ is disabled. Issue is, when the Ultra has been put into Standby mode (pressing the button on the remote), the screen goes off
Is this a bug?
I think it still goes into standby mode, but you have chosen to do it 'right now' rather than wait for the selected standby time.
It could be seen as a bug, or as a feature to allow you to deliberately turn off the screen by pressing the button vs simply waiting for the unit to enter standby and then doing what you chose in the menu.
It's always in on/standby mode unless you pull the power cord. Since it's slaw visible on the network. When I received my unit in mid- July as one of the first in AU, I logged a ticket because the power button on the remote wouldn't not turn off the screen or the unit. Didnt seem to anything? Much to my surprise support actively engaged in direct dialog with me, and one of the updates (26th July?) Fixed it. If you want the screen to stay on from power off with remote you could wind back the firmware to then I think the difference is if the unit times out (standby) is different than pushing the remote power ('off') but it's always visible on the network?
Exactly! And yes, WiiM introduced this feature on purpose, so it's really not a bug.
Got me puzzled at first, too, but in the end it really makes sense. It gives you the choice between letting the device go to sleep (with the clock being displayed) or initiating standby immediately with the screen going blank.
