I would like Wiim Pro’s Alexa driver to be able to detect when Wiim Pro is turned on. I will use it as a trigger to turn on my receiver. I can’t use the 12V trigger on my AV amplifier because when the trigger is plugged in the AV receiver it disregards CEC from the other HDMI inputs. Put simply, if the 12V trigger is plugged in the only device that can turn on the receiver is the Wiim Pro. I would like any HDMI source to be able to turn on the receiver. Alexa can program the receiver to turn on, but Wiim has no Alexa events to detect when it goes on.

The WiiM pro doesn’t have an Alexa driver or skill, it’s implemented using the Alexa MRM stack which presents the WiiM device to Alexa as an Alexa enabled device like an echo. Such devices can’t be used as triggers in Alexa routines to run a command such as turning on other devices. You may need to look at systems such as Home Assistant or such which could detect the change in state of the 12v trigger and then interact with Alexa, or indeed simply turn on your receiver without Alexa involvement
