Why are there no tutorials in video form for the app? I am nearly 80 years old, new to audio streaming and using devices such as any of those produced by WiiM and the simplest way to educate users such a myself would be video tutorials and as far as I can tell there are none, thousands of reviews and about two tutorials on how to use the thing.

Unfortunately, there are no video tutorials available, so please download the manual from here and read it. (Have you read it yet?)

If you have any questions, please ask here. I can also explain via video.🙂

The manual is simply so confusing to someone like me with zero experience it is close to useless. people of my demographic are not educated in modern communications and I can understand that younger people find that hard to believe. I don't walk around with a mobile phone in my hand because it is not something I grew up with and I find all this sort of technology hard to deal with. Thanks for taking the time to reply and yes I have downloaded and read the manual. I have WiiM mini to set up for my wife, I have to integrate into our extensive home network which I did not build and connect it to a Sony sound bar via BT and then get it to stream one particular local radio station. After that it will never be changed, won't be used for streaming music etc. The fact is if I don't understand the technology and all the terms used the manual may as well be written in a foreign language.

Have you already completed the setup for your WiiM Mini? (Is the Mini card displayed in the WiiM app?)

If you need to set it up now, please refer to this video.

I say this as a septuagenarian, is there a younger family or community/church member that could walk you through the essentials? Are there any audio or IT clubs in your area that would be happy to lend a hand?

Thanks for taking the time to try and help me and listen to my complaining about the app. No it is still in the box and I am trying to gather the courage to install it. The video shows how to connect it to the network, nothing about using BT to connect it to the Soundbar and nothing on how to connect to the particular radio station she who must be obeyed wants to listen to.

I think YouTube is the best thing that has ever happened for education and it surprises me that WiiM have not worked that out.

First, please try the setup.

Once setup is complete, I'll explain how to connect via Bluetooth in a video. If you follow each step, you'll definitely be able to do it.

Honestly trying to convince the one family member who can help me is a mission for a lot of reasons. I must admit I did not think it would be this hard and I understand about 1% of all the stuff written on this forum and that is solely my problem and no criticism of the forum and its users. I simply have not been exposed to any of this stuff and I feel that WiiM are missing a big opportunity by not doing video tutorials. I looked at YT reviews for months trying to get my head around this streaming technology and puit simply I found maybe two videos that went beyond a simple review.

I can understand that - I do support your request that there should be more “how to” videos.

@RyanWithWiiM - can you help here, are there any plans for more “how to” videos particularly for newcomers?

Thanks for your help, I most probably won't try installation until the weekend and if I can't work stuff out I will come back and ask stupid questions. I have an Amp which was installed by someone else and it has been great to use.

Good luck and don’t be slow to ask for help :)

@Chris P

I created a video showing how to connect the Mini and soundbar via Bluetooth. First, put the soundbar into pairing mode, then try these steps. If you don't know how to put the soundbar into pairing mode, please tell us the model name.🙂

I hope this is helpful.
