ultra defaults to line out

So loving the Ultra. What a gem. So easy to use, love the ext HD and software interface.

The situation:

I have my Wiim connected to ext DAC via USB. All tube setup so we turn off the DAC and amp when done. When we startup its DAC on ( MHDT so manual switching always on USB), Amp on but the WIIM defaults to line out. We have to go into the app or use the screen to change the output. Anyway to keep it on USB as the default? Not a bit deal but annoying

When the WiiM don't "see" the DAC on the USB (when DAC is powered off) there is no USB output available anymore and the WiiM will switch to the line out.

Do this also happen if the WiiM is in standby?

Edit: Try to let the WiiM go into standby before turning the DAC off. And turn it on before WiiM goes out of standby (if possible).

Hi,

If the Ultra is powered down, an alternative would be to use the Smart Preset. Set the output of the preset to USB and press the preset button on the remote after turning on the Ultra.
