Ultra does not appear in Roon

My friend is having trouble setting up Roon. But I have never used Roon before so I don't know anything about it. I would be happy if someone could help us.

He enabled Roon in the WiiM app and opened the Roon app installed on his Mac PC. However, Ultra does not appear in the audio section.

However, his Roon app does not show anything.

The Mac and Ultra are connected to same network via Wi-Fi, he have tried rebooting the Ultra, Mac, and router, but still no resolution. Maybe something needs to be configured on the Mac side, I'm not sure.

What should do now?

No, that's right, Core is just the former name for the server.

macOS 15 messed up security settings for quite many people, leading to device discovery issues. Lots of threads about this on the forum. Try this, it usually helps: Navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network , and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled...

I can't say that. 5 years ago I put together an Intel Nuc, Rock server for little money and have had no issues ever since.
I wouldn't get a Mac though.

This problem has been resolved.

It seems that it was due to the fact that the sharing settings on Mac were turned off.
