I sometimes watch football on tv (Samdung tv with sound muted) and listen to music via ethernet on t GG e Ultra.
Problem is the Ultra always switches back to HDMI input if i pause the music.
Ive switched off auto Optical/ HDMI sensing but it still happens.

Any ideas or fixes ?

Hi
Have you already tried switching this toggle on/off?

Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes i have it switched off..
All are off actually.
Ive powered down the ultra and restarted my wifi router and phone and tv.
It worked for a few hours ( wasnt switching to hdmi) but is now constantly switching to hdmi again.
Could it be CEC on the tv causing it ?

With "Automatically output audio to WiiM when TV is on" disabled this should not happen, no matter what your TV CEC is configured to.

You should raise a ticket to WiiM (from the WiiM Home App Feedback) when this happens.

I think this may be a Samsung issue as I have the same result. I will follow your advice and raise a ticket. I remember that you were having issues too. Did you get yours resolved with the update?

As @hgo58 said, please submit a ticket after reproducing the issue. A device log will be sent.

Also you can try the following.

1) Unplug the Ultra and TV power cables.
2) Unplug the HDMI cable.
3) After 10 minutes, plug in the HDMI cable again.
4) Plug in the Ultra and TV power cables.

(This may, in rare cases, solve HDMI issues.)

Yes. Latest Ultra firmware work (almost) as it should regarding the CEC.

What issue still remains. If you don't mind me asking?

10 mins with no TV or music? What would I do? 🤔
(I have tried that but thanks) 😁

With "Automatically output audio to WiiM when TV is on" disabled, I select TV (HDMI) as input and my TV (Sony) correctly changes output to external speakers (ARC) but when I then select another input (e.g. streaming) the TV don't change back to internal speakers as it should.

This used to work!

Note that when "Automatically output audio to WiiM when TV is on" is enabled some users have asked for this behaviour and I think it was then wrongly implemented for both cases?

TV don't change back to internal speakers as it should.
Thanks, same here. If I turn off the ultra and go to turn up the volume on the tv the ultra turns back on. I am currently beta testing seperate rc and eq and thought I had perhaps missed the fix for this, so thanks for clearing this up. I have raised a ticket. 👍

Isn't it supposed to switch inputs after the TV is turned off?

I didn't raise a new ticket, as every time WiiM make one change to the HDMI interface firmware they break something else.

I can "live" with the current HDMI functionality. It's better than the one before.

I have the same problem. Wiim is switching to ARC every time I turn TV on
If I manually change my TV (Sony) to external speakers (ARC) then the Ultra also wakes up from standby and switch to TV input, even though I have both optical auto sensing and "Automatically output audio to WiiM when TV is on" disabled. That is a clear bug!

I guess the issue some people have is that the ARC is always enabled on the TV, even when playing via internal speakers.

As said before: When @WiiM Team fix one issue on HDMI they introduce several other new issues. I don't understand why it is so difficult to get it right. The beta test I did at the start of this year worked correctly in all functions but was never released. After that only half functioning implementations has been provided.

My LG C3 doesn't have an option to disable ARC. You can just switch outputs. Even if I have internal speakers set, It's changing to ARC automatically: on TV and on Wiim Ultra.

Before the update everyting was ok

I too have raised a ticket via feedback.
Im currently trying unplugging the power & hdmi for 10 mins.
I will let you guys know how it goes shortly.
