Updated Products Roadmap

Not sure what you mean but I was just wondering when the WiiM amp roadmap be updated. It also states, on this forum, that DLNA cast would have been ready by 10/30.
If you look around in the forum, you'll find that they hit a few roadblocks with this feature.

AFAIK this feature has been in the works longer than simultaneous USB & sub output so it probably has priority now.

* hint: starwars 💫

Let me clarify so I I don’t receive anymore unhelpful responses from you. I would like roadmap page to be updated as to what’s completed and is not completed. If features are finished it should be noted as completed. WiiM amp roadmap hasn’t been updated since October 4.

You are not the first to complain about the documentation ;)
There are several other threads discussing this.
WiiM Team is good in software development but the just as important documentation is not as good as it could be.

It’s because engineers they are. 😊
I have been a Software Engineer myself for 40 years and know that documentation, both internal and external, is just as important as the software itself. So they should know.
The team is probably understaffed and need to prioritize but it will bite them in the end.

Sorry, didn't mean to step on your toes :)

Initially you were just asking about the progress with simultaneous output over USB & sub out (and there's other specific threads about this topic)

... but yes, we all want to see an updated roadmap.

That is the difference between boomers / Gen X and Gen Y / millennials … 😂

This is very harsh. WiiM are light years ahead of any other hardware manufacturer in terms of software and software releases. Particularly when you consider the price point that they are selling at.

That maybe true that they are understaff but considering what wiim offering us at affordable price and a free feature update that you won’t get anywhere else. There’s reason why you’re here and purchase their product because you don’t want to pay an overprice device that only gives you marginal performance increase.

I was talking about the documentation, not the product. The external documentation has issues following the rapid software and feature development.

So when saying understaffed, maybe I should have said that WiiM uses whatever staff they have to develop software and not so much documentation.

This has however changed since I wrote that comment a months ago and the latest documentation, available via the WHA, is better than before.

But yes. I have never seen any commercial product where features and changes is developed this fast.
