USB - Connection to DAC not found in WiiM Home app

Not yet, recommendations? WiiM support has stated the Ultra is not designed to work with a computer. I may be returning the Ultra as not supporting USB out to a computer is as strange as the HDMI being only an input.
You need an audio interface with spdif to usb audio path for example.

I don't recall seeing that.
Can you post the relevant bit?
Could we be looking at different faq pages? I can't find your quote that I replied to above!!

Yep, I can totally see how that faq page is misleading!
The title and (some of) the content don't align.

Edit: It's a shame, as they are obviously trying to provide useful info, but it seems they don't really check / update such doco very well as there are quite a few examples of poorly worded and outdated doco.

It does state to "connect a sound card or DAC". I honestly don't understand why WiiM has designed the Ultra to work only with HDMI audio in (only) and USB OUT for a DAC or Sound Card. Seriously thinking or returning, but the streaming abilities, sound quality, and PHONO are the biggest reasons for buying. For what it does do, it's a bargain.

Yep, every product has compromises, just have to decide what's worth worrying about / what you can live with / do without!

I have little electrical/component knowledge. If I may ask a seemingly ignorant question. Have a Logitech Z906 speaker system which I'd like to use for the TV via the Ultra. For IEM's/headphones have a Chord Mojo2.

Is the Mojo2 suitable as a DAC for the Z906 via the WiiM Ultra? On the one hand it's just for headphones i.e. is it under powered and / or the DAC in the Ultra is good enough? Yet a British Audiophile demonstrated with a range of speakers it could be used.

The Z906 has performance specifications as
• Total watts (RMS): 500 watts
- Subwoofer: 165 watts (6 ohms, at 52 Hz, at 10% THD)
- Satellites: 335 watts RMS (5 x 67 watts per channel {4 ohms at 3.85kHz, at 10% THD})
• Maximum SPL: >110 dBC
• Frequency response: 35 Hz – 20 KHz
• Amplifier: Ultra Efficient Class D
• Input Impedance: 8,000 ohms, min
• Signal to Noise ratio, A-weighted: >95dB

If the above question isn't moot and the Mojo2 is able to be used, the gent, Tarant, connected the Mojo2 via the 3.5mm headphone jack into a split 2 way RCA for the speakers. I assume I would do the same.

Again, apols for my ignorance, thank you for your help.

From what I can see from manuals online, I’d feed your TV into the Ultra either via HDMI or optical, and then take either the optical or coax output from the Ultra into one of the Z906’s digital inputs, and similarly take the other digital output from the Ultra into a digital input on the Mojo2 for headphone use. As far as I can see, there’s no need for rca or splitting cables that way.

If you wanted to use the Mojo for the speakers as well as headphones, then I’d use one of its headphone outputs for the phones and the other for the speakers, this time using a 3.5mm to twin rca cable.

Thank you for your response. In the first instance the Mojo appears safe to use. When there's micro volts for one thing and (to my mind) a big 500 watts on the other side cursory understanding of Ohms law is only a start and probably leads to confusion. The eARC is a defo on the Ultra. Coax I have so will be doing that. I'll compare the Mojo2 to the Ultra and see what difference to music there is, not being sophisticated speakers I may well be kidding myself. And thank you for confirming the 3.5mm to the split RCA. Thank you again for your trouble, much appreciated.
