Hi all,

I was digging several posts around the MIC / Calibrated MIC with calibration files, supported by WiiM Home App.
I confess I kind of get a little lost regarding wich ones are known to work and having calibration files loadable in WiiM Home App.

For now I got:
- Dayton audio mic iMM6
- miniDSP UMIK-1
- miniDSP UMIK-2

Could you please just update the list (or correct if something is wrong)?

Thank you!

There's a (relatively new) knowledge base article on using external microphones:

The only "recommended" mics according to this source are currently the miniDSP UMIK-1, the Dayton Audio iMM-6C and iMM-6.

Personally, I would always pick the iMM-6C (USB) over the iMM-6 (analogue 3.5 mm TRS jack). I can also confirm that importing the miniDSP UMIK-2 calibration file works as expected.

Listing microphones that may or may not work doesn't appear too helpful to me. :)

the small imm6c usb and its sound is a real boon for this general public use
;-)

(I have non-USB microphones that are considered serious...but if I had to use the Wiim RC (which I don't)...I would buy the little Dayton USB to make it as simple as possible ;-) )

I wouldn't recommend the iMM-6 unless it is used with a TRSS to USB adaptor that is known to have a flat frequency response.
I don't know if anyone has tried using something like an ECM8000 via a USB audio interface.
