Hi Wiimer,Hi, @WiiM Support,
I was looking forward to the USB output.
I will participate in the beta test. Should I submit a ticket now?
Thank you.
Hi,Hi Wiimer,
Sure. Please kindly submit the ticket so we can include you in the beta test. I appreciate your help.
Headphone outputI don't understand...
what's the point of an external dac plugged into the "all in one" "amp"???
it is noted... ;-)))Headphone output
If you don't need it, you don't have to think about it too much.it is noted... ;-)))
(personally my headphone amps are without dac so I don't mind)
(Post in thread 'USB output' https://forum.wiimhome.com/threads/usb-output.232/post-46922
dac dac dac ...no reference to headphone amp ;-) )
I would have thought a small usb dongle dac would be quite neat looks wise, not take up much room, relatively inexpensive and depending on the model chosen give a balanced output. Good for the desk use rather than have a separate rca input headphone amp/box if space etc is an issue.it is noted... ;-)))

the consumption of this type of dongle will not be too high for this usb port?I would have thought a small usb dongle dac would be quite neat looks wise, not take up much room, relatively inexpensive and depending on the model chosen give a balanced output. Most usb dongle dacs are designed for mobile phone usage so are designed to be power efficient. Check the specs if they say they can be used with usb 2.0 ports (via an adapter) then they should work as usb 2.0 is 480ma max current. The last time I looked at the output specs of one, a shanling I think, a review said it was around 100ma 'ish.the consumption of this type of dongle will not be too high for this usb port?

No, all quiet here. Wasn't aware there was a beta tbhHas anyone received the Wiim amp USB Out beta firmware?
I am surprised to hear that. No, all quiet here. Wasn't aware there was a beta tbh
Remember the roadmap with date? You stated if those will be met or not. I think wiim just need to update the website frequently like 2 to 3 times a week for the latest up to date. Let say release target 6/15 but will release 6/19 to give us the most up to date. This is the area where wiim need improvement but everything else top notch. It would be great if under promise over delivered before target date.I am surprised to hear that.
I had previously sent in a ticket to participate in the beta test and had completely forgotten about it...
It's been two days since I received the update on my amp and I'm still puzzled because I haven't received any notification.
Well I will wait a little longer, Thanks.
