Up to last week: Apple M2 mini connected to a router in another room (where the hi-fi is situated), by ethernet, to a Wiim Pro. Another Wiim Pro is in a 'garden room', with a Wiim mini in the kitchen; both connected wirelessly. Problem: multiple drop-outs. Altering one of the Wims would mean all the other units would also fail and it was a helluva job to get them all working (sometimes just random presses of keys would work!). All would be working OK and then...
So: 1. Swap the two WiimPros to see if it was a hardware issue - no. 2. Use a brand new M4Mac Mini Pro (!) instead - again, no difference. 3 Disconnect the M4Pro from ethernet and just use wireless. Result: much better! (I've still experienced drop-outs but not so many). I reconnected the WiimPro -(a few feet from the router and hi-fi DAC) to the route by ethernet (BUT NOT the Mac) and experienced the same problem, but recently, with 'fettling', it's been much more stable...
Yes, I've been in contact with Wiim technicians using their ticket system but up to now nothing has resolved my problems.
