Volume changing randomly

Have a Wiim Pro, connected to amp using rca. When streaming music (I use Spotify connect) the volume randomly will drop quite low and then back again. Does so sporadically. Quite annoying. Anyone else come across this or have any ideas?

Try clearing the Spotify app cache or deleting and re-installing the app.

Yeah in the middle of a song.

I’d first look at Spotify as the source of the issue as I guessed it was Spotify just from the thread title alone. It could be an issue with Spotify Connect and how it’s implemented on the Wiim as well - if it happens again and clearing cache etc didn’t help, then submit a ticket to WiiM so they can inspect your logs.

Thanks. Also now just happening on a completely different source device using chromecast from YouTube music. So don't think isolated to Spotify

Where is the USB cable for WiiM power connected? Included power adapter?

If you have connected it to a USB such as a PC, it may also cause the Wiim to run unstable.

Plugged into a wall outlet for power, using the included adapter.

I've had this happen twice now with an Audio Pro C10 MKII WiiM edition speaker, music is playing from Spotify to this single speaker initiated by the preset 1 button, no one is using the app.
