What are you listening to?

Warning: Sorry if it bores you.
Over the last few weeks I was even more in listening than normal (what means a lot) and I noticed that the regular listening of the same classics over and over again became more a convenient "duty" than a pleasure. It was so convenient and felt cosy because I've had already heard every record x-times. And this narrative "with every spin you hear new details" wasn't really true at a certain moment. After 50 or so years I should know the details good enough. It seems, I became not only ridiculous old but also ridiculous lazy.
That's why now for a while only new music will be on my schedule. That does not mean I will forget my old heroes and records. So many are linked to certain episodes of me and my beloved. But even as an old man I think its a good idea to remain curious 😉

Now back to topic.

From one extreme to the next 😉

Absolutely loving this one so far.

One of those cases where I can understand Roon in not supporting song ratings. Killer album so far (first time listen) without "smart playlist 4 star" songs 😂.

We keep hoping for Plexamp endpoint 🤞

Well known in Belgium. Incredible voice imo. This was his first solo/cover album.

This acoustic piano cover of Life on Mars is a major recommendation. Stayed in Belgium on no1 in hit charts for 8 weeks it seems...

This came up on my DSTM playlist from an extended version of the album on Qobuz. I have never heard it before.

♪ Playing A Whiter Spade Than Mayall by Colosseum from Those Who Are About to Die We Salute You (1969) (Qobuz • 930kbps, 16bit, 44.1kHz, -9.29dB, FLC)

Politically incorrect or what? It is actually a rip off of Procol Harum's Whiter Shade of Pale but I am sure the late John Mayall (RIP) will have seen the funny side even if the late Gary Brooker (RIP) didn't.
