What are you listening to?

Back when all one had were vinyl, a sound engineer named Rudy vanGelder did an amazing job mastering tracks. Some of his jazz recordings are still sought after.
During the vinyl era, Rudy van Gelder brought about a true revolution in jazz recording. Because of his painstaking mastering methods, which have endured, his records are still highly valued by audiophiles and collectors.

15 year old me disliked due to lack of growling...

Awesome record and happy that I don't need to put the Plex "EXCLUDE" from playlist label to remain acceptable as background music for wife and kids 😁😅

Also mixed by Steven Wilson... 😉

@cc_rider you do ever so often make me wanna try something jazz 😁 but it just doesn't click when I do. Any hints for the typical rock listener?

It seems to me that the current generation of solo female pop/rock artists is much more talented than the guys. The boys are often too whiny and only looking backwards for me. Not to mention the voices 😉

You know that I have to agree with you? 😁

There is more I would like to say about it, but I won't because someone may be offended.🤣

Obscured by Clouds is the seventh studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released on 2 June 1972 by Harvest and Capitol Records. It serves as the soundtrack for the French film La Vallée, by Barbet Schroeder. It was recorded in two sessions in France, while Pink Floyd were in the midst of touring, and produced by the band.

Obscured by Clouds is among Pink Floyd's shorter albums and makes heavy use of the acoustic guitar. It also features their heaviest rock tracks and these are quite different from what came before.
