As serenade, my actual reference recording when it comes to an integral of the String Quartets. Sweet and sour: Schubert. Good night.

Only to be topped (in theory) by the new album by The Coward Brothers, formed by my all time favourite singer, performer, composer and producer T Bone Burnett and Elvis Costello:

The Coward Brothers.jpg

In practice, only the first song is available through Tidal. The message displayed in the Tidal app is more clear: Streaming not allowed on behalf of the record company. That's sort of OK with me. The double LP is 40€, but what can I do? I need it!

I have ordered the CD but I see that the audio play is also released on Audible later this week. Perhaps I will try their trial account.

FLAC from my original vinyl copy by one of my favourite artists that many won’t have even have ever heard of. Jess Roden is by common agreement amongst his peers - people like Robert Plant - one of the UKs greatest male vocalists of his era. Funk / Soul / Blues. I was lucky enough to see him live many times in the mid 70s.
