What are you listening to?

Hifi-Cast is a player? Which use cases does it cover for you over Symfonium?

Never tried Bubble. Not sure what it should expect from it. Security? Stability? Uniformity? I have local and remote access through Plex..
Bubble UPnP was my first choice years ago to remotely control Tidal via foobar with plugin on the HTPC via the phone/tablet without having to turn on the TV/monitor. And the main reason that Bubble is my program of choice is the fact that it provides access to Tidal as well as the NAS under one interface. I can also send content directly from the Tidal app to the Bubble playlist. It is very well thought out, with many setting options, also on a technical level, compatible in many directions, can also make content available on the network as a server, etc. I see the developer as a pioneer in media streaming. Bubble is therefore the egg-laying wool-milk sow. I prevent UPnP access from the Internet in the router, and I also do not allow access to my Qnap NAS with Minim server from outside.

I use Symfonium exclusively on the tablet and if it is clear before I start the music session that I only want to stream content from the NAS.

In contrast to Symfonium/Bubble, HiFi-Cast has the nicer, clearer interface when used on the phone, i.e. smaller screens, adjustable cover sizes and texts underneath in the library view, etc.

All three applications are used alternately for streaming, depending on my mood 😉. I don't want to commit myself because I like them all depending on the use case.

When I listen with headphones via my LG phones with excellent DACs (V30 + V40), which function exclusively as music players, I also use different applications (UAPP with Tidal/Oobuz integration, neutron, Poweramp, jetAudio).

Do I need so many apps? No, but it's fun 😀
