I am not generally a big fan of these sort of Various Artist Compilation Box Sets but this one I picked up perhaps 10 years ago is something of an exception. OK the SQ on some of the tracks leaves a bit to be desired but given the studio equipment available at the time of recording but they are pretty damn good and fully representative of the genre in question. Probably not for audiofools though.
