Most people choose Die Walküre as their favorite opera from Der Ring des Nibelungen. Siegfried was my first complete opera recording (in vinyl, the Boulez recording, it was my high school grad present in 1989, I'm a wagnerian because of that).

Hopefully that was a VHS HiFi recorder, and not just a linear Stereo recorder.
