My suggestion will likely provoke a strong reaction.

I think there should be a separate thread for posting references/images such as that shown above. I for one find the genre unpleasant & the imagery obnoxious.

When scrolling through recent additions I would appreciate not having to be involuntarily exposed to such material.

Why not start a dedicated thread & spare us blushing violets 😬?

It is offensive to my sensibilities - once seen never forgotten - the Medieval Church never had much ever going for it, and it's portrayal of death & retribution is best consigned to the dustbin of history.

I also question the motives of contemporary producers who employ themes of death & torture in their output.

was 'socialised' and grew up with classical music. later it became profession. in a way while not an artist myself. metal and 'dark' music are guilty pleasures.😉

So did I, my father was until very recently a professional musician (he finally retired at the age of 87), so I grew up with lots of classical music.

He didn't mind me liking The Beatles in the 60's but then our musical tasted diverged and I don't think he has ever forgiven me for liking The Stones, Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep etc :)

it was not that no popular music was around the house. and i loved it too. but after decades the endless repetitions from always the same 60s & 70s stuff bores me. that is valid for me. no one has to share it. i am sure most of the girls(?) and guys here see it totally different. 😉
