What are you listening to?

It’s always praised as a good Demo & turntable setup disk & it’s certainly well produced & mixed. However I’ve always felt that the vinyl copy is a bit too bass light to be a true reference recording - I think SD Aja is a better example.
That was the first time I have listened to the album.
 
Ian Dury - New Boots And Panties

Sweet Gene Vincent is up there with my all time favourite pieces.

Dury was both funny & menacing at the same time on stage. I met him backstage once & he was charming even though he looked quite debilitated by Polio & apologised so I told him about my Gran who had it with both legs, he just said "F#ck it, accept it and use it" then playfully poked me with his stick.
 
Dr Feelgood - Stupidity

I bought this as soon as it was released, having seen them at the Kursaal several times by then (but sadly not the night that tracks 8-13 on this album were recorded). This album deservedly went to no1 in its first week.
