What's that shiny black thing down there, some kind of MP3 player?Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Debut album (from the time I saw them in the late 70s, completely forgot about it until a friend reminded me when I saw them again 30y later)

So it WAS just Herb Albert ... You removed the Tijuana Brass?!?!My Father is a professional musician and had a scratched Herb Alpert record about 25 years ago.
He gave it to me to rip it to CD after removing the scratches.
The primitive software I used removed the scratches and most of the trumpets!![]()
I have Made in Japan but don't remember any of my pals having it. Another favourite was Thin Lizzy's 'Live and Dangerous' (as someone else posted very recently on this thread). I think if we were to go back and check the record charts of the time we'd all find we're wrong and very few people had all these albums. Any yet here we are still listening to them many years later...in my mind “Made in Japan” was more prevalent than “Bat out of Hell”
...and not to forget, the red and blue Beatles album (okay, that makes five now—I think if we keep going, we'll come up with more which everyone had)
