Did a firmware update and now lots of big artists libraries are locked out - Pink Floyd, Toto, Steely Dan, Triumph, Journey... WTF?

Hi scott944,

The firmware update usually doesn't cause this problem. Please power cycle your device and see if it helps. If not, please send us a feedback ticket so we can resolve it for you. Thank you for your patience and support!

There have been times when I've lost the ability to play downloaded albums on the Qobuz app. When I contacted them about this, I was told that when the license for Qobuz to offer the album expires they have to take it off the site. I complained that the website said the user retains the right to listen or download it any time. So what did they do? They changed the language on the site! So always make sure you download your purchases right away and put them in your media library, at least then they can't take it away from you.

This happens on other sites as well. One artist on Bandcamp left a small, Bandcamp-supported label and signed with a major label, which re-released her album which I had "purchased" and downloaded. So Bandcamp had to take it off the site, presumably for legal reasons. I can no longer listen to it on the Bandcamp app but it is in my music library.

Qobuz is behaving weirdly for me this morning on my WiiM Pro. It will play a single track then stop, and simply won't start playing the majority of tracks I attempt to play. Spotify Connect working fine though. A problem at the Qobuz end maybe?

Did this to me as well I lost 5 albums they sent me new links but it was to re purchase them so I dumped Qobuz
Just checked my library on the Qobuz app and my Pink Floyd albums are gone now as well
Glad I have downloaded them and have several backup copies
Made me change back to buying CDs and ripping my own music again

Can you see them from the Qobuz app or is it just from the WiiM Home app?
It’s in the Qobuz app it happens now and again due to licensing I was told by Qobuz
It doesn’t effect people who subscribe as a newer link can be used but the original purchase is affected

I should add that when the label told me about the artist moving on to a major label, they sent me a WAV file of the entire album so I would not lose it. Very nice of them.
