What is the best audio connection

I was wondering what is the best connection for listening to my music for the best audio experience.

I have been been playing my flac files via plex at 16/44 - however today I noticed if I play via my mini then audio out to my ultra the but rate is higher.

Thoughts?

No, I have been asking how he want to connect the Mini to the Ultra (or more precisely, which connections he's been trying so far).

Why are you using a WiiM Mini together with a WiiM Ultra? Do you want to add AirPlay capabilities to the Ultra or do you want to play music synchronously in two rooms or both?

Was the group you mentioned a WiiM group consisting of the Mini and the Ultra? If you group WiiM devices then the communication between them is always through your network, even if there is an additional connection via optical.

It was just something I noticed when I was using the WiiM ultra in a group with the mini to have AirPlay access on the ultra. This does work but the artwork gets stuck and doesn’t change after the first song, which I’m waiting do WiiM to fix.
